Our Journey to Mayah

This sweet baby girl was born on June 10, 2005. She was brought to the Shangrao Welfare Institute in Jiangxi Province and given the name Ling Guang Wei. "Ling" is a family surname meaning quick/clever. "Wei" means strong. We have always like the name Mayah and later learned that it is Hebrew for "Close to God". It seemed an especially appropriate name for her! We have given her the name Mayah Ling Wei Reuter.

Mayah's Room

For your viewing pleasure.... check out the new paint/decor in the girls' bathroom and Mayah's room (can you tell that we REALLY like monkeys). And yes, that is a Christmas present from Santa on the rocking chair. Meagan was amazed that Santa "knew Mayah" and thought it must be because of the pictures he saw of her around the house. Silly girl, Santa knows everything!
