Our Journey to Mayah

This sweet baby girl was born on June 10, 2005. She was brought to the Shangrao Welfare Institute in Jiangxi Province and given the name Ling Guang Wei. "Ling" is a family surname meaning quick/clever. "Wei" means strong. We have always like the name Mayah and later learned that it is Hebrew for "Close to God". It seemed an especially appropriate name for her! We have given her the name Mayah Ling Wei Reuter.

Looks like Mayah's surgery went very well! I'm sure the packing wasn't very fun...our Lily probably had the same in June '07 when her surgery was done. Eventually, the girls will hardly if at all look like there was ever a problem. We hope the girls get to meet--that we'll all get to meet in Guangzhou!
