This sweet baby girl was born on June 10, 2005. She was brought to the Shangrao Welfare Institute in Jiangxi Province and given the name Ling Guang Wei. "Ling" is a family surname meaning quick/clever. "Wei" means strong. We have always like the name Mayah and later learned that it is Hebrew for "Close to God". It seemed an especially appropriate name for her! We have given her the name Mayah Ling Wei Reuter.
As of October 17, 2006 our dossier(AKA: the huge collection of papers we've been working on for the past 10 1/2 months) was sent to China via FedEx International Priority! The countdown of 3-4 months before we receive our travel approval has begun!
